At various times during Ford's quest for on the track power they used Isky cams. The earliest that I'm aware of is 1956 when Ford had the very expensive dealer installed 312 cid, 260 hp option. The cam was an Isky E-2 and the same cam was used again in the '57 312 cid, 270 hp rpo engines I think, or it may have been an over the counter part. These cams always had Ford P/Ns. I don't know if Isky had a hand in the design and/or manufacture of the later cams but the E-2 Isky was the base for many fast Fords. The specs are often different as they used different location to measure lift and duration as well as the lobe centers. |
