The 390's truck engines in the mid 70's used 410 pistons to lower the compression ratio. When you pull your 390 apart, check to see if the sides of the pistons say 410. If that is the case, just add a 410/428 crank, harmonic balancer, and flywheel. You will have a 410 with a good compression ratio. |
