It seems that someone has changed your engine over to solid lifters or just put adjustable rockerarms in it. Either way it's easy to tell, Just back off one adjuster until the lifter starts clicking and check the valve clearance, keep track of how far you have to back off before you get noise, you may have to reset to the same location. If you have solid lifters you should be able to get a .020 to .025 feeler gage between the valve stem and rocker arm. All of the high performance Ford cams that I know of have a valve clearance of .025.
