I'm Installing Tri-Power on a 1967 390 "S" code. The primary carb is a Holley #2436 with a thermostaticly controlled choke. I want to change to an electric choke. Can I do this by just changing the cap or do I have to get a conversion kit. I have had 2 different answers from Holley. A flat "no you can't convert" and a "No problem , use choke kit#45-224" which uses an external vacuum source. I hope you guys can give me a clearer picture to work with.
