RE: New to FE's |

The carbs are 780 CFM units. They were sold over the counter as a dealer acessory for either single or dual 4V use. In a dual 4V installation the other carb should be P/N C5AF 9510-BC but a pair of BD's works just about the same.
The casting number on an FE block is virtually meaningless without some other supporting information. It could be a 331 truck block, 352, 390....who knows? Does it have cross bolted mains? Look in the engine tutorial section of this website and then look at your motor. You bought the car, what did the seller tell you it was? This sounds like a kit car of some sort right now. There are plenty of guys out there installing fake crossbolts in old 390 motors to look cool at car shows in their plastic replicobras. Buyer beware.
