I have already talked with Royce on this more than once. I just so much want to get it right. Told me all the numbers for holley carbs for my 67 cougar right from the shop manual. I still want to clear up a couple of things; One I know now that my car should have one of two carbs on it, either a C70F-B or a C70F-D. The "b" is without thermactor on an auto trans. and the "d" or "b" is with thermactor on the auto trans. this according to royce. Ok, whats thermactor? I suppose you guys can all laugh at me and I will take it, but I am thinking its how the choke is activated? I am so close to getting a right carb in fact there is one on e-bay right now that is a C70F-9510-B, with a list # of 3794 and a datecode of 674 does this sound right. It is missing the choke shaft and butterflies and the fuel tube, and has the wrong primary bowl on it. Are all these parts avail. some place, or would I be better off finding a complete somewhere?
