head gaskets

I have a 360 engine and everywhere I look I'm told to use the felpro head gaskets, but they only offer one part # for both sides with "front" and "this side up" in the same spot. I can see you can't flip it over but when I do what it says the water hole on the deck in the front is blocked on one side but open on the other?!! Has anyone else had this problem?
