		Mike,
Yeah, I guess that it would make sense that I would need about 4" of clearance to get the line in withou severely mangling it. I got a few posts in the general forum, but your way sounds like the best.
The specs on my engine, it is a rebuilt 390 bored .40 over, eldelbrock performer intake, and cam, mallory unilite distributor, carter (pre-edelbrock) 4bbl. The bottom end is all stock, and I went with the chrome goodies when I realized I was going to lose my oil fill tube when I changed over the intake. The car is not really a screamer, but I am looking at a set of headers from ford powertrain, and flowmaster duals, so it should be a strong running (and great sounding)dependable driver. I have had the car in various states of dissassembly for a year or so now, so I can't wait to get it back on the road in spring.
My other 62 galaxie is a 292Y block cruise-o-matic 4 door, so I have plenty of experience with galaxies, but this is my first FE!!
Thanks for all your great advice!
  Rob. |
