i just looked this up in the ford parts book and a C6 and a C/M use the same flexplate for a 390, so as long as you have the correct 428 flexplate there should be no problem. there may be specific years/models where this is not so but as far as 65 and newer is concerned ford only had one flexplate for the cruiso and the C6 behind the 390 so the offset on a 428 flexplate should be the same. the flexplate part number is a C5AZ-6375-D which would indicate that the 64 and older are different. hawkrod
