I installed a hot cam in my 428 car which makes low vaccumm. The vaccumm is so low that the valve that shuts the hot water off from the heater core will not pull shut when the control is off. I have hot water all the time. The valve is new so I doubt if it is failing. I have been told that some folks used to put a manual valve that could be turned off and on manually, open in the winter and shut in the summer.
My question is about the type of vavle to use. Has anyone used one that they liked or seen one that they know works well for this application and could tell me where to get it? Thanks for all of your past and present advise. |
