im have a 67 cougar with an s code 390. it has an auto trans. and a 3:50 posi 9'' gear. it runs good but from a dead stop it will not spin the tires at all. timing carb etc... all correct. could the stall in the torque converter cause this? the factory stall speed is 1700 rpm. everything is stock and rebuilt to factory specs and done right. any help would be appreciated. also can you fit headers on an s code in a 67 cougar?
thanks, john
