old PSE? oil passage modification for center oiler

Aloha again,
A couple months ago a PSE oil passage modification kit came up on eBay. The kit allowed the purchaser to make a center oiler FE engine as good as a side oiler by apparently running an external line outside of the block and supplying oil to the mains. Is anyone familliar with such a modification, or know of any better solutions that will improve the longevity of a good center oiler? Can you outline a procedure to carry out such a modification?
