you probably lost the pilot bushing (you did put one in right?) and then the trans front bearing started to support the clutch. the real problem is the bearing between the mainshaft and input shaft. when you loose the pilot the mainshaft moves around a lot and does a lot of damage to the front of the mainshaft. a properly operating and round clutch will leave no visible polished area anywhere as it is perfectly round and always rides in its own path. good luck, you are going to need it, hawkrod |
