I always use gaskets ...

I always use exhaust gaskets on any engine. I don't use any sealer, and I never have any leaks. Mind you, all my other gaskets seem to leak....chuckle, but never my exhaust gaskets. One would think that in addition to helping seal the exhaust to the heads, the gaskets would also help keep heat from the manifold isolated from the heads. This might help keep that expensive engine paint on the heads from coming off.
