RE: 1968 428PI Heads C6AE-U.

C6AE-U is the set of heads I pulled off an original 1968 428PI. Casting dates are 6E31 with a 12 cast between the exhaust ports and the other is 6D16 with a 10, both from the DIF foundry. No holes drilled for smog pump, have standard size valves with non rotating retainers, short intake ports and larger combustion chambers that go straight across. This engine had original Ford gaskets and the short block was all CJ, it had me guessing the casting dates of the heads for a '68 car.

 428 used same heads as a 390 - nothing special. [n/m] -- Mr F, 02/06/2003
