Ever notice how some cars (like mercedes) have an oil pressure gauge that rises as soon as the engine starts and then NEVER moves? This is because the oil pump has enough output (because it is a high volume pump) to achieve max oil pressure (oil bypass opens) at an idle. Yep, a HV pump in an FE is a good thing. A HP pump is a waste of time and can cause many problems UNLESS you are building an extreme race engine (i.e. NOT for the street)...my 2 cents worth
