Any opinion on timing gear drives instead of chain

Does anybody have an opinion on the gear drive sets for timing on a 390 instead of a timing chain? I was thinking of buying a set from Jegs but didnt know if they were a pain to install and if they were worth the money.
The motor is just a 390 4 barrel and I will be putting an RPM performer intake and mild cam in it so I figured while it is apart I might do the gear drive also.
