Funny you should bring that up. I was told by my machine shop to use a SMALL amount of silicone on the bottom of my Felpro intake manifold gaskets because I was using Edelbrock heads. I have not had any problems in that area so I don't really know if it was a necessary salvation or just an idea. Interesting anyway.
