A lot of people here find the Duraspark distributor from Ford trucks from 74-76 to be a very affordable way to get electronic ignition. On my 69 Cougar I installed the MSD FE distributor and 6A multispark box. That combo did a lot to revitalize a well worn engine. If you go this route do NOT get the older type MSD FE distributer. The older one has no vacum advance and with regular street gearing you will be missing it. I know I do.
