I rebuilt the original 390 IP for my
69 Mustang GT: Castings are:

C7MEA- Block with 8H14 date (August 14, 1968)

C8AE-H Heads

C9ZF-E Carb (69 Mustang, Auto Trans, 600cfm Autolite, 4300 A Carb)

Lew, your block, carb and intake are not original . Your C8AE-H heads could be, as they were used in 69 for the 390 IP and 428 PI. applications.
