Which Gears for my Galaxie 390

I have a stock rear-end in my 66 galaxie (3.00 gears?) I am planning on changing it to improve performance. I will be doing mostly street driving 30-45 MPH, but yes a few Highway trips. I also am prone to bunning some rubber! The transmission is new with 2500 stall. 390 engine is about 325-350 hp. What gears will I be happy with?
