I'm very certain that your '65 F100 has 28 spline axles. It's extremely easy to find out.....jack 'er up, pull of a rear drum, remove four nuts, pull the axle, count the splines. It's that easy.

I also had a '66 F100 352/3 speed stick years ago. It had 28 spline axles.

My '68 F100 has 28 spline too.

The 28 spline axles are pretty standard and common throughout the sixties.

I have little experience with 70's/up but I've heard that some half tons with 460s may have 31 spline axles.
