Probably broke due to one of the bolts coming loose. Supported at only one end due to a loose bolt could cause it to break. They have a very large Philips head and are not easily torqued sufficently. I use lock-tite and admit to doing the wrong thing.....vicegrips for the final tighening. Now I have a proper "non-slip" philips driver that will adapt to a torque wrench. |
