you need a floor shift cars shift lever,

it can be made by extending the current tranny lever above the pivot point, a column shift car moves the lever from front to back, forward being park, a floor shift car moves from rear to front, rear being park. if you search several terms on this and the fomoco mustang forum i think there are links to pics.
