I don't know the applicable laws, but as soon as you have done something, you cannot tell people about, you face potential trouble.
Approx 1 in 60 americans are felons. Some are hardcore criminals, but a great many are regular people who took a shortcut, they shouldn't have taken and had no idea that they later could be facing felony charges.
Once people have been charged with a felony and learned about the harshness of the mandatory sentencing guidelines - 95% of them plead guilty to a charge agreed upon rather than taking their chances in court, where more charges can be piled on.
Good defense attorneys cost approx $400/hour + all expenses paid.
So I strongly recommend that you only do things that can stand scrutiny in broad daylight and wish you the best with your project. |
