It was the carb. We put on a different carb and it started right up. We used the holley rebuild kit and we took it apart again and re-checked everything. It still ran way too rich, so I went out and bought an edelbrock performer carb. I bolted it on and it started right up. I like the carb, it runs smoother, but I am missing a lot of torque off of the line. Any kind of adjustment I can do to fix it? That holley I had would make that car jump off the line, now this edelbrock smooths everything out. It seems like the torque curve changed because I think I gained a little bit on the top end. |
