The eternal "FE" debate

I'm convinced that it stands for "Ford-Edsel".

I wish this question came up while I was still there. I spent plenty of time in the archives digging through old papers. Could have shed some light on it. I also had access to all of the old drawings and "XE" books. I'm kicking myself!!

According to a post on the Club Cobra forum a while back, somebody did send a request to Ford for clarification. The response from the Ford Archives was... Ford-Edsel.

Now Don would have said, "How the hell do I know??" I've got more important crap to think about!"
