I put a set of these on my 64 Galaxie XL Convert, 390, 4 spd, ps, and they fit fine. I had a set of the long ones and they hit the X frame (damn the luck, oh well I have a convert!). My pass side manifold didn't have a taper for the donut, and there was no heat riser, but there is a donut made with one side flat and a short piece of tubing to keep the donut from crushing in. Mine have been installed since 1986 with no problems (car was stored from '87-'04. Just pulled it out of the barn again in May, and still no exhaust leaks (from the front half- the mufflers however..).
