| i have a 390 that i'm rebuilding and recently discovered i have 428 cj heads. i have a ford performance book that says that says its a common performance upgrade and comes on hi po 390's. my question is that the book says that the 428 cj heads have smaller valves and a larger combustion chamber wich lowers the compression ratio in my 390 from 10.5 to 9.6. what makes them performance with smaller valves and raise compression. i thought you wanted to opposite. any advice is appreciated except get edelbrock's cause i've cleaned and painted them with a newly ground 3 angle valve job. thanks |
