| The 428 should have larger valves than the standard 390 stuff. It will have smaller valves than a medium riser head. Standard 390 valves are 2.04/1.55 IIRC, 428CJ sizes are 2.09/1.66, and the 427 stuff should be 2.19/1.72 or something like that. It would depend on the year of 390 head you are talking about, but the 428 heads do have a larger chamber than the more common 390 heads. The 428 ports are larger than most of the 390 stuff. |
