Opinions on sleeved engines?

So I am shopping for a 427 and I see a lot of blocks that have one or more sleeves in them. It seems to me the the integrity of the block would be compromised, and these blocks would not hold up to the same amount of abuse as a unsleeved block. Other opinions?
