The biggest gain is in weight savings, and higher compression allowed from the aluminum heads better heat transfer. By the time you have a set of factory heads re-done with hardend seats, valve guides, new valves and springs etc. you will have spent almost as much as a brand new set of fully assembled Edelbrock aluminum heads.
