finally got oil pump off my 67 gal.500, 390 2v. w/68000 miles. going w/ a mellings m57hv. orig. stock pump @ 55 p.s.i. cold and 5-7 p.s.i. when hot at idle @ 525 r.p.m. no noise in engine . going w/ my stock oil pan. any advice here? also while pan is down ,should i replace rear main seal? i have not ever changed one,and laying on a garage floor to do it is not much fun, can it be done and is it as bad as it appears?? any manufactures of rear main seals preferred??
