Stick a rubber hose on the end of the draft tube (or valve cover) and run it into your air cleaner snout.
Smoke will disappear completely, but idle will get rougher so you may need to add a couple hundred idle-RPM to keep it from stalling.
Not a great fix, but it worked for me long ago. I ended up switching back and forth between preferring the smoke and rough idle, because I found them both to be irritating. Switching back and forth made it more bearable.
