RE: No 'click' or anything? Tried jumping the ...

When this happened on my '67 I started troubleshooting and found that the headlight wire harness (the main underhood harness) was cut and spliced poorly near the radiator support under the battery tray. I cleaned up the splices, soldered them and shrink wrapped them and it's been 4 years withour another problem. Good Luck on yours.
