Thanks for the info...fixed problem...needed to take up slack in throttle/gas pedal linkage. Clamp holding up slack was tight but after 12 years, guess it worked its way loose enough to cause not enough travel to get kickdown to work.

What a difference! Rear end breaks loose and car just bellows!

You said you had/have a similar set up in a '66 Galaxie with a CruiseO? Did you swap in a C6? Have a source for a column shifted C6 out of a 66 Galaxie. Any particulars or difficulties you experienced?
