Robert, The 352 is a excellent motor for a truck. This is only my opinion, so take if for what it's worth. I had a orginial 352 in a 67 F100, I also had a 410 merc. going to waste in a 55 F100. The 352 was tired, so I installed the 410. The 410 got better gas mileage had almost twice the power. Your 68 stang has a small compartment for the wide FE, make spark plug changes hard adds extra weight on the front end, among other things. I don't think you will be happy with the 352 in it's present form, I'd put a 351W or if you got to have a BB at least a 390 or 428. The HI-Po 352's of the early 60's had high compression, small chambered heads, solids, and cast headers in the heavy galaxies, To biuld the power that I think your looking for would require a total rebuild of the truck 352. RC
