As someone who Recurves Distributors for a living I can tell You that the
MSD is a superior Dist.It has Better Advance ( Chevy design) Better signal via
Magnetic picup ( Ford Design ) only draw back is Vac adv ( None ) However MSDs
reasoning ( assumption ) is that most FEs are Classics or limited Usage in that
MPG doesent play a magor role in thier use. The Mallory Design is superior in
having Vac adv or in a Clearence role only , but is a poor design in all other
respects, I Prefer a Ford Duraspark for any application that is to be run at
7500 or less as they are availble and inexpensive and dead nuts reliable above
7500 or if you want or just like the aftermarket look go MSD |
