In regards to the Drag Pack and an SCJ motor. All drag Packs were SCJ's, which meant that they all had Lemans rods aka the 427 bottom end. They were also externally balanced and had an engine oil cooler.
In regard to the valve covers. I am the original owner of a 1970 Mach-1 SCJ w/ 430 rear and close ratio 4-speed, Dark Metallic Blue with medium blue interior. All original with 40,000 miles. It has plain finned aluminum valve covers. I do however think the snakes are nicer looking.
