RE: 428 Cobra Replica |

JUST what I was looking for! Been planning a warm (not undriveable beast) street 428 for a Cobra replica for "authenticity" with the Edelb heads and Perf RPM intake and about that exact size (duration & lift) cam but was a little worried about the 108 LDA being a little close for a long stroke engine, although it does have a fairly low rod/stroke ratio which likes a low LDA number. But THOSE numbers are very impressive - quite close to my 426 Street Hemi of years ago, even on hp!! Especially nice is that fat torque at that rpm! Man, would that make a 2300 lb 50/50 weight balance Cobra fly with a Richmond 5spd and a streetable rear gear!! PLEASE post more info as you develope it. I was thinking of efi for driveability etc - but don't want all those lines plumbed all over the intake so am looking at the Barry Grant Venturi EFI that's built basically on a Holley 4bbl base. Is a good unit but would all hide under the air cleaner for an authentic look. THANKS!!! |
