Which, of course, explains why the only true 385 series race engine(read: Boss 429) needed a dry sump oiling system when revving to 7,000+ rpm in the racing environment it was designed to dominate(NASCAR). Check your history and your facts. You might also try to actually build an un-modified performance 385 engine (even with dry sump systems, Ford racing engineers still had to restrict top end oiling in NASCAR Boss '9s) that is capable of good high rpm pressure with a factory oiling system (even with an HV pump). Then get back to me. |
