Since when does a 385 need a dry sump? |

Dry sumps are used for high G loads, not for a poor oiling system, which the 385 does NOT have. NO dry sump in the world will make up for any defecencys in the oiling system. Check out how many mods have to be made to a FE system and how many are needed on a 385. I have run several 385 engines to 7000+ rpm with the only mods. being a 10 qt pan and a windage tray and this is with a cast crank,CJ rods and 2 bolt block. All this and only 60 lbs of pressure. Bad system? get back to me when you sober up. |
