		| Ed is correct as long as you compare "light" trucks w/ cars. When you get into "heavy" trucks Ford identified these engines as 391 although dimensionally are the same. Differences are "heavy" engines (391) came w/ forged steel crank, sodium cooled valves and other diffs suited to heavy duty low rpm lugging. I understand a 391 forged crank can be installed in a car 390 after some machine work to fit car balancer. Best to you!  Doug  |
