i have a 74 360 cu in. in my one truck and i am baffled by this problem! when i first start the motor, my oil pressure gauge reads 40 lbs but after it warms up and i let it idle, it looks like the pressure drops to zero! i know the pressure should drop somewhat because of oil thinning when hot but isnt this pressure spread too much? the guage is new and accurate there is no noticeable engine knock at idle and it doesnt use oil! what gives? should i be worried about this engine dying on me?
