first, since i had the truck, the engine has never been out. i never rebuilt an FE engine so i really dont know all the 'ins and outs' of HI-PO mods! i was considering replacing the pump with a melling but to get the oil pan off in the truck, well, it looks like i have to take the truck apart to get the darn pan out; i mean, it is a tight tight fit! (the truck is a 69 f250 camper special 2wdrive)
i am particularly interested in mod #3. at one time, i did have the rocker assembly off and what i did notice is that out of the four bolts that hold it down, one is 'stepped' or ridged. someone had told me that this bolt is the oil feed bolt to the rocker shafts? does that holley jet go INSIDE of that rocker arm hold-down tower hole? honestly, ive never heard of that mod being done before but then again, i told you i dont possess a lot of FE savvy!
lastly, i hear a lot about head casting numbers here! i can vividly recall this # being stamped on the head: C6AE can someone tell me what heads these are?
