I suspect that CJ-sized valves (about 2.09/1.66) would be a good way to go here. You can go a little bigger if you measure carefully (valve-to valve and valve-to-cylinder wall), but the CJ size is a safe compromise. Be sure to verify piston eyebrow clearance at full lift, as eyebrows on some 390 pistons don't clear CJ valves.
