SHOE, the reinforced shaft is in there.You hit the nail on the head,with the rear valve stems looking like submarines!! I've noticed the same problem on cold start-up.I recently pull my intake.All the valves have oil buildup on them.(the heads and the motor are both fresh.) Will restrictors also help this problem?Do I have to tap & screw in the restrictors?Do they just drop in?(The valve covers are off.) Is the Performer non-rpm manifold really suffocating me? What carb/man setup would make this 428 breath hard & heavy!!! DOC I would like to thank EVERYONE FOR ALL THE GREAT RESPONSE
