Have you had the engine apart to verify what parts are in it? I wouldn't go twisting alot of RPM without knowing exactly what you have. Even if the crank is steel, it will not do you any good with a set of stock rods, or with the stock 428 block with its oiling system. Did you verify the stroke? What car is this engine in, how quick do you want it to go, and how do you want it to idle? 425+ horsepower is child's play with a 428, but you have to decide on whether you need mild idle characteristics first.
