Cooling system still

Changed to a 160 thermostat last night and bugger me it runs hotter (takes longer to get there though). It is a funky looking stant with a large opening area, maybe now the coolant runs to fast? The radiator is higher than the heads and you would think after 3 years all the air should be out. Yes i run the engine fan half in half out of shroud. Maybe I just need a bigger radiator. As I said this problem is not chronic and on a cool day you wouldnt even notice it. Are you guys familiar with this style of radiator that mounts in rubber pads top and bottom with the top bracket also being a bit of a fan gaurd? And if so does ayone make an aluminium radiator with the same tank design so that it will fit these stock rubber mounts? Will try the water wetter though.
Thanks
