| I have 428 cj with a cast iron intake and 750 holley carb. I've been thinking about getting an aluminum intake. If I buy one I would like to get a 427 one because it will appreciate in value unlike an aftermarket one and would be lighter than a stock cj. I've read in "Ford High Preformance Parts Identifier" by Robet M. Winkelman, that 427 low riser intake manifolds have slightly larger ports than 428 cj intakes. The difference is minimal but I was wondering if the larger ports could hurt the velocity and the performance of the motor. Any help. |
